Course: Modern Physics Laboratory (PHY 353L) Duties: • Teaching: laboratory methods, data analysis, coding in Python & Mathematica, technical writing and various modern physics topics • Repair and maintenance: optical, electronic, radiation detection, NMR, spectroscopy & microscopy systems • Maintaining LabVIEW code • Apparatus design: pulsed laser diode + photodiode to measure speed of light, photoelectric effect experiment, conversion of Millikan oil drop experiment to fluorescence microscopy

Subject: Laser Cooling and Trapping Duties: Operation and maintenance of all equipment, experiment design and execution, debugging Cool Projects: rewriting the entire LabVIEW control program suite, testing polarization optics, designing the laser stabilization electronics, troubleshooting magnetic traps, hunting electrical noise, hunting acoustic noise, incorporating CCD and linear stage API's into LabVIEW suite
