My task is to design and develop new solution for train control and management. In details, I developed test systems for vehicles verification and commissioning. The test system certification is the plus of the tool (no other tool has been certified in the company). I acquired skills on railway industry, on train integrity and control management for vehicle and train level with WTB, ETB and on a quality environment (EN50128). I also faced management tasks as technical project lead and configuration manager.

I worked on the “WTB Simulator and tester” device. I was the chief of the technical development team. The device objective of the project is to test the WTB (Wire Train Bus) for the train remote control. I also increase my knowledge on LabVIEWenvironment using advanced programming technique. Soon I will take the CLD exam of national instruments to receive certification.

I developed a system able to acquire an analog input, generate digital signal to control a radar system and acquire data from an XSENS sensor (orientation, inertial, magnetic field and GPS information). With a config file, the user can configure the sampling frequency, the timing of the digital signals and select the data acquired from the Xsens sensor. I manage the data saving on SSD disk to increase performance. In addition, I made a tool to read and analyse data to complete the system.

I have been working on Band P Radar project and Exomars project, powered by Thales Alenia Space Italy. For Exomars project, I developed the "RDA EGSE Echo Generator", aimed to test the radar Doppler altimeter that is going to be used in the Mars mission, scheduled for 2016. In particular, I have been designed and implemented the digital unit of the EGSE system that control the entire echo generator.

The aim was to develop a methodology of investigation non-invasive (FPGA algorithms) based on microwave able to verify the integrity of building materials.
