My name is Berkay Şahin. I graduated from Metallurgical and Materials Engineering of Middle East Technical University, with both bachelors and master degree. I have deep knowledge and experience of steelmaking processes (electric arc furnace, ladle furnace, continuous casting, rolling, laboratory (OES, Hardness, Tensile, Impact, Microcleanliness, Jominy, Microstructure, Failure Analysis) NDT, heat treatment, forging, bending, machining) for 12 years. I also took role for the metallurgical evaluation and reporting of continuous casting, rolling and heat treatment investments. I have been working for Çemtaş as Quality Chief Engineer (to manage 3 engineers, 8 technicians and approximately 20 blue collars). I am responsible for quality control activities of production units and laboratory, and also fulfillment requirements of management systems such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, DNP GL, ISO 17025, PRI/TPG:Heat Treatment.
