Project Work: BIO TEX FUTURE • Production of yarn from bio-based materials using melt spinning processes for automotive and textile applications. • Documentation of production-related and material data.

Topic: Design of fixtures for GMAC welding (Gas Metal Arc Welding) from PLA material. Tool: Solidworks & ANSYS • Design of fixtures with PLA material for gas shielded arc welding (GMAC) and pin and clamp assembly. • Part design using design software solidworks. Concept development of fixtures for welding two profiles. • Analysis of heat distribution across fixtures using thermal simulation. Understanding heat distribution over fixtures and analyzing effect of temperature on fixtures.

Field of work: Design of prototypes and process optimisation • Design of a plastic part with bending hinge for the injection moulding process. • Design and manufacture of a mould with polyjet process for the part. • Test 3D printing and injection moulding parameters and mould life using design experiments.

• Workshop optimization and further development of the Bosch production system (BPS). • Support in consumption control, quick set-up, Total Productive maintenance (TPM), management routines in the workshop, visualization of key figures in the production area. • Support in the area of "work and time management" - time determination, target times etc. in the production environment. • Support in i4.0 projects in the production environment and Preparation of the reports and training documents.

Tool: CREO Focus: Product design and project management • Surface modelling of plastic interior parts (dashboard for cars). Design, construction and optimisation of components for thermoforming and injection moulding. • Independent documentation of the product using PDM and lifecycle management of CAD models • Coordination with the production team and creation of parts lists.
