Supervisor for the Aftermarket Projects division of NOV in Sub-Sahara Africa. My team and I manage projects related to recertification of , upgrades to, and servicing and overhaul of NOV equipment in the oil and gas sector.

I supervised a service team specializing in the offshore service, repair and inspection of NOV/Shaffer pressure control / Blow out preventing equipment.

As Standardization Engineer my main duty is to compile procedures for service, inspection and repair of NOV equipment and to make sure that these are in line with the global, third party and company standards and design criteria. This entails liaising with both design and aftermarket departments to ensure the capture of best practices on all fronts. I was also part of a team conducting research and development into the expanded use of ultrasonic inspection technologies for drilling equipment certification.

The Product Engineering department of VWSA develops and adapts products for the South African market as well as performing engineering work for the VW Group. My position involved the performing of engineering tasks with regard to engine management systems and powertrain applications for this department. It also included designing and maintaining facilities and equipment.
