I currently work for the business development department at Duuzra and Eventpad. My role involves seeking out and developing potential business prospects and partnerships for use of the unique and versatile Duuzra software. Role included carrying out desk research and developing value demonstration materials for some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. Gained particular experience in carrying out literature reviews for use in Global Value Dossiers. Also involved in projects surrounding market access and product positioning which involved researching the current market landscape and helping to develop strategic marketing materials.

Reviewed and marked GSCE and A-level examinations. Worked specifically with the Modern Foreign Languages Speaking Test department organising tests for examiners and moderators.

Summer Internship with the Neurofibromatosis Type 1 and Type 2 Specialised Services teams based at the Genetic Medicine Department, Saint Mary’s Hospital, Central Manchester University Hospitals Foundation Trust. Involved in patient data collection and organising the North West NF2 patient awareness event at the Manchester Nowgen Centre

Part-time volunteer, work involved ‘meet and greet’, guiding patients and their families around the hospital and offering help to access the various hospital departments and facilities

Developed a data research project for the Lung Cancer Team. Designed and distributed a questionnaire to assess Manchester teenagers’ attitudes towards smoking and collected and analysed the data. The results were presented during the Annual Lung Day event at the Christie Hospital in November 2009. An abstract and poster were presented at the British Thoracic Oncology Group Conference, In Dublin, Ireland January 2010

Core Modules in Biotechnology. Core Modules in Commercialization of the Life Sciences, Strategic Business Planning and Business Development Final Dissertation based arthritis research.

Core Modules in the Principles of Biochemistry, Immunology, Genetics, RNA, Health and Disease, Virology and Oncology. As well as modules in Problem Solving. 3 years of lab work/research. Final dissertation was an epidemiological study based on Vitamin D deficiencies in the UK.
