Ensuring timely, error free and cost effective publication of books by handling projects from manuscript stage to the final books. Efficient author management. Editing manuscripts, checking the text carefully for style, consistency, factual accuracy, spelling and grammar, completeness, integrity of floats to texts. Rewriting and improving on the author's writing if the text is not clear or effective.

Understanding and applying various style guides and brand guidelines to edit medical/non-medical journals as per client expectations. Checking language, stylization, spelling, grammar, and consistency to ensure readability. Responsible for meeting quality requirements for tasks assigned as per the timelines. Ensuring that all checklists are being adhered to and following all of the standard procedures.

Assisting senior editors in dealing with manuscripts and checking for format, figures, styling, references, etc.  Liaising with authors.  Researching for and inviting peer-reviewers to review the suitability of manuscripts prior publication.  Coordinating team members by training new staff and assigning roles.  Attending editorial meetings, taking minutes over phone conferences, dealing with reviewers’ and authors’ queries, managing Outlook and Excel spreadsheets.
