Dr. Emiliano Carmona

Team leader of the Software and Analysis group (C/C++) of MAGIC experiment, and System Administrator of the on-site computing facilities of the telescopes (Linux, NAS over fibre channel, tape backup, network). Numerical simulations of the detectors for MAGIC and CTA projects.

As a Postdoc Researcher I worked in the context of MAGIC and CTA projects, initially in the data analysis and gradually acquiring my current responsibilities. I also collaborated in the supervision of several PhD and Diploma students.

Postdoc Researcher, working for the ANTARES international collaboration. I developed the beacons for the optical calibration of the undersea neutrino telescope, which was in the construction phase. I also performed the analysis of the prototype data.

I worked in the development and maintenance of software solutions using database and computer vision technology.

Predoctoral research position. I worked in the characterization of photomultipliers for the ANTARES detector, and developed algorithms for improved data analysis.

Experimental Particle Physics. PhD Thesis, "Study of the event reconstruction and expected performances for point-like sources of the future ANTARES neutrino telescope", obtained maximum grade.
