As interim editor-in-chief for KLM’s corporate communications department, I write and edit internal news articles, manage the company news app, plan content, and safeguard KLM’s tone of voice. KLM is a proud, publicly listed company with a 105-year history and 31,000 engaged colleagues. Every day, many employees visit our internal news app to stay informed and connected. Worked as a senior creative on several projects, including XS4ALL, IBM, AdeZ (in close cooperation with ECD Carl le Blond) and Olvarit. Member of the brand team on Staatsloterij and British American Tobacco. Developed a smart campaign for South African Tourism, which included strategic use of Hyves (Dutch equivalent of Facebook), many ads, announcements and reminders, banners, games, gadgets, e-mailings, promotions, guerrilla and a very popular competition. I have worked on many of their BTL accounts such as EuroDisney, Nissan and ING, with a focus on a through the line project for Intrum Justitia, with Mike Weinberg and Niël Dresmé. I created their very first advertising campaign, several mailings and a very successful event.
As part of a creative team, I worked on practically all of their clients, including Remia, Nokia and O’Neill. Together with English art director Yannakis Jones I was responsible for the international brands, including a pan-European commercial and campaign for the Citroën C5 introduction. This huge project resulted in the most successful introduction Citroën had ever known.

At this point in time, this was definitely the place to be for any ambitious creative, with great minds like Bela Stamenkovits, Lysbeth Bijlstra, Zwier Veldhoen and Matthijs van Wensveen. Under the wings of one of Holland’s most acclaimed teams Diederick Hillenius and Poppe van Pelt, I have made solid work and together with my art director created many outstanding ads. This varied from ads within existing campaigns to international pitches for major clients like Samsonite.
