Identification and evaluation of new targets (e.g. start-ups) for equity investment or acquisition, commercial assimilation and go to market strategy of newly acquired targets, technology partnerships, negotiating and managing licensing agreements as well as generation of pipeline of opportunities including co-funded demonstration projects. Targeted technologies are carbon capture, carbon dioxide liquefaction, hydrogen production, power to gas, power to liquids, energy storage and heat pumps.

Responsible to provide our customers with taylored engineering solutions, beyond the supply of equipment. Main business areas: gas-fired power plants, industrial power generation, energy storage systems (methanation, heat pumps, etc.), large industrial heat pump systems, refining, olefins production, small scale liquefaction (ssLNG) and gas processing.

Responsible for the sales of the local unit in Germany; leading the business development of carbon capture and management technologies and supporting the worldwide sales organization for the penetration of environmental control solutions in O&G, refining and petchem industries. My focus was the development of technology-oriented solutions under different contractual set-ups (BE, FEED, EPC-LSTK).

Sales and business development of carbon capture technologies (post- and oxy) for CCS in power and O&G industries and CCU in methanol and urea applications; fixed price, cost-plus and reimbursable contracts for PDP, BE, FEED services and EPC projects; successfully set-up joint R&D development CO2 related projects with Clients in Middle East for applications in both refining and petrochemical sectors; regular participation to international conferences and project financing with EU grants.

Engaged in setting up a new business line concerning floating off-shore LNG production units (FLNG).

Gas dehydration, gas sweetening, mercury removal, slug catchers, gas and liquid separation, produced water systems, membrane systems and crude oil treatment (onshore and offshore); responsible for tendering for EPC projects of value up to 50 MEUR mainly for offshore platforms and floating production units (FPSO) and experience in projects involving high degree of modularization or skid-mounted type.

Process design and development of PFDs, H&M and utilities balances, P&IDs, datasheets, relief load calculation, heat exchanger thermal design, operating and maintenance manuals, control philosophy, cause and effects charts and participation to HAZOP meetings. Project experience: gas dehydration, gas sweetening, Hg removal, two/three phases separation and HC dew-pointing.

Project management support for the installation of two LM6000 turbines in Dar es Salaam. Proposal for EU funded waste gasification project commissioned by the Slovak Republic.

Research on the carbon sequestration technology, with focus on the effect of pure carbon dioxide and flue gases injection in coal reservoirs for enhanced methane recovery. MPhil programme. From 23 September 2002 till 15 March 2004 and from 14 November 2004 till November 2005.
