    As a self-employed consultant I have been able to contribute with specific expertise in the fields of type, editorial and information design in projects like the signage and wayfinding for the FIFA 2014 World Cup and Rio 2016, the proprietary typeface of Rio 2016 (designed by Dalton Maag) and the automated editorial workflow for the international art fair ArtRio.

    At ICON I worked as senior manager in two important projects for Rio de Janeiro: the city dressing and wayfinding for the FIFA 2014 World Cup and the city-wide wayfinding system for pedestrians. I attended client briefings, helped in planing and structuring new projects and pitches, produced and delivered presentations, managed simultaneous projects and worked consultatively for Metrô Rio, Rio2016 and Rio Galeão International Airport commissions.

    Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016

    By the end of 2012, Rio 2016 Organising Committee commissioned me to deliver an in-depth analysis of signage and wayfinding in five relevant editions of the Games and to review the suitability of the chosen typeface for the system – The Sans, by Lucas de Groot.

    Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games Rio 2016

    Back in 2011 I was invited by Rio 2016 OC to help them commission a proprietary typeface for the Games. For this project I mapped the most suitable suppliers, developed the briefing, acted as a technical interface between the Committee's goals and the supplier’s responses throughout the whole process and delivered internal presentations to raise awareness on the importance of such an investment. The typeface has been designed by Dalton Maag.
