Hannah Wagner

As a USTA, I worked with students ages 10- 18 while teaching at BG Babenbergerring and BRG Gröhmühlgasse in Wiener Neustadt, Austria, from October 2015 to May 2016. Currently, I work with students ages 15-25 while teaching at the HTL Ottakring and Die Mode- und Kunstschule Herbststrasse in Vienna, Austria. In my position I plan and teach 13 classroom hours about a variety of topics such as politics, advertising, and technology.

As a camp counselor, I prepared and taught 1 hour long lessons to teach students English vocabulary and grammar. I also led activities to teach students of varying English levels the English language in a hands-on manner. Finally, I coordinated and worked with other counselors to decorate the camp and accomplish other tasks. My work at Longbridge was occasional-- during the listed timeframe I worked at 4 weekend camps and 1 weeklong camp.

As the Pol-Econ intern at the U.S. Embassy in Paramaribo, Suriname, I compiled daily news briefings by selecting the most important new stores from local newspapers. Additionally, I represented the US by attending 4 official events. Throughout my time at the embassy, I submitted a cable by translating texts into English, researching the topic further, and completing several levels of editing. Finally, I attended private Dutch lessons 3 times a week to improve my Dutch language abilities.

My employment at Krazy Kaplans was seasonal as I worked for approximately 3 1-month periods in 2012, 2015, and 2016. While at Krazy Kaplans, I solved customer issues involving prices and products by using communication skills. I also memorized details and prices of dozens of products in order to answer customers’ questions and improve store sales. Finally, I handled thousands of dollars in sales on a daily basis.
