• Genetic, transcriptomic and biochemical analysis of microalgal strains • managing and coordinating the identification of lipid metabolism genes by next generation sequencing • managing contributions by scientists from other research groups • strategy planning • supervising three PhD students • identification and analysis of metabolic/enzymatic pathways • molecular biological, biochemical and microbiological lab work, e.g. gene construct design, cloning, strain identification, lipid analysis

• Genetic, biochemical, physiological and cell-biological characterization of plant enzymes, especially proteases. This work based on the results of my PhD thesis. • supervising three PhD students, Master’s Degree students and technical personnel
