Researching quantum computing and photonics.

Headed Xanadu's architecture team, which is researching architectures for quantum computing using qubits encoded into the continuous-variable state of light. My research focussed on hardware-friendly design of error-corrected quantum computers. I led the design of Xanadu's architecture for scalable quantum computing (see attached open-access publication).

Devised hardware-friendly compilation techniques to improve the performance of near-term photonic quantum computers.

Devised new architectures to improve scalability of near-term photonic quantum computers.

Researched tensor network methods for efficiently simulating large quantum systems. Devised novel methods of quantum computation and simulation with quantum optics. Awarded book contract with Cambridge University Press for book titled 'The Foundations of Quantum Physics: An Introduction to Wave-Particle Duality, Entanglement and the Quantum Internet'.
