Jonathan James Santos

Leads the continuous development, maintenance, and analyses of S&P's Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA), an annual evaluation of 15,000 companies’ sustainability or Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Focused on the healthcare sector.

Led project governance of the Better Hearts Better Cities (BHBC) initiative in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and the “KaziBantu” Healthy Schools for Healthy Communities project in South Africa with the Novartis Foundation; managed the project plan for the Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) program and Patient Advocacy and Engagement; and led the Global Drug Development (GDD) Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Accelerating Access Project Management Offices (PMO).

Led and managed cross-cutting programs that addressed noncommunicable diseases (NCD), digital health, health systems strengthening, tobacco control, and access to medicines. Explored local production to improve access to medical products in low and low middle-income countries. Partnered and collaborated with cross-functional technical teams across WHO, communications and public affairs, and key stakeholders at the regional and country levels.
