Bachelorthesis on the topic "Extraction and indexing of darknet forums" in collaboration between Technical University Darmstadt and Fraunhofer SIT. This thesis presents DarknetForumIndex (DFI). A study on seven darknet forums was conducted to prove DFI’s concept and answer the questions (1) How large are the forums?, (2) Which anti-crawling measures are used by forums and do they depend on the forums size?, (3) What type of software do forums use? and (4) How much user metadata do users leave in forums?
