As part of the executive management team, I oversaw Business Operations, Customer Relations, Partnerships, Finance, HR and Legal. Highlights included being voted amongst Wired Magazine's top 10 UK and top 100 European start-ups (2016) as well as joint project collaborations with companies such as Facebook, Apple and Magento.

I resigned from my job in private equity to fulfil a lifelong dream of travelling the globe. I visited a total of 19 countries, across 3 continents (Asia, Oceania, South America). It was an awe-inspiring journey which allowed me to experience plenty of different cultures and visit many of the places I had always longed to see. It has been a truly rewarding, enriching and often humbling year, irreplaceable in my personal development.

As an Associate within the European Investment Team, I held lead responsibilities for the DACH region, primarily involved in new deal origination, execution and portfolio management. As part of my portfolio responsibilities I worked closely with the management teams to drive strategy, operational processes and business development and where required supported with M&A, financing and human resources. My portfolio companies included various sectors and were based in the DACH region, the UK and Italy.

Associate in the Global Industrial Group with a focus on Capital Goods and Automotive. I advised on numerous buy-side and sell-side transactions, mergers, de-mergers, IPO's and debt issuances. Deals worked on include: merger between VW and Porsche; VW’s acquisition of a 20% stake in Suzuki; sale of VW’s South American Truck & Bus business to MAN; demerger of Fiat and Fiat Industrial; sale of TMD Friction to Nisshinbo; sale of Microtecnica to Goodrich; Hong Kong IPO of IRC Ltd; Aston Martin high yield bond.

Analyst in the Notebook Brand Management team mainly focussing on competitor analysis, pricing, marketing and preparation of product presentations for business events and client meetings.

Key modules included: Finance in New Ventures, Derivatives and Financial Risk Management, Investment Management, International Finance, Accounting & Finance, Organisational Behaviour.

Awarded Ely Webster Economics Prize at A-Level for being the best Economics student of my year. House Prefect during final year. Awarded Major Colours for representing 1st XI hockey on school and county level.
