PRIVATE- Started the army as a private in the corps of the Royal Engineers and through the years of employment was promoted through the ranks to lance corporal and then to full corporal, all three ranks carried with them there own responsibilities. As a private I also carried out parachute and paratrooper training and was attached to the elite 9 PARA SQUADRON of the Royal Engineers , where I was sent on operations to the Balklans conflict and also Sierra Leon.
