Co-founder and largest minority owner, worked also as project manager: -Managed a team of 8 scientists working on a project aimed at develop technologies relating to non-viral gene delivery techniques, medical devices for enhanced transfection/transduction and receptor-ligand interactions. Part of group establishing clinical protocol for multiple myeloma CD34+gene marking and autologous transplantation.

Influenced and guided the Yale Laboratory for High Throughput Biology. Established the screening center as a central function within Yale University. Responsible for overall budget of +$12,000,000. Coordinated and identified intra- and extra-mural projects for the center, including both academic as well as industrial partnerships. Direct report to Professor James E. Rothman, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2013.

Influence and guides the activities at the Columbia Genome Center. Managed to establish leverage with Columbia University and multiple vendors and industry partners to generate a +$7,000,000 screening center from a $1,500,000 original investment. Designed and planned the automation suit including redundant capacity to allow maximum flexibility and productivity for HTS at Columbia including the in-house designed automated cell culture system capable of 4x10E9 cells per batch. Directly controlled and guided both everyday activities as well as responsible for strategic planning, execution and management of long-term projects. Planned and executed the formation of a state- of-the-art high throughput screening facility with a staff of 25 scientists. Direct report to Professor James E. Rothman, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2013.

Worked to identify and resolve issues relating to a project for synthesis of a genome wide human siRNA library. Identified major problem as primarily a design flaw of the siRNA sequences where the siRNAs had not been designed with consideration of possible secondary structures and issues with Gibb's free energy. Problem was solved to a very high degree by adapting the hybridization protocol. Direct report to Professor James E. Rothman, winner of the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 2013.

Developed non-viral synthetic gene delivery systems. Established university level course, "Applied virology", co-chaired PhD level course in advanced digital microscopy. Co-founded a biotech company based on discoveries and patents established during my PhD work.
