I taught a weekly Dutch A1 language course at Wiener Volkshochschule, location Floridsdorf. The language of instruction was German. The group consisted of seven adult students.

The Red Cross ensures humanitarian protection and assistance for victims of war and other situations of violence. I supported the external communication activities of The Netherlands Red Cross press team during a six months fixed-term press officer traineeship. I was part of the Giro 555 campaign team that raised money for relief of the Nepalese people, following a devastating earthquake on April 25, 2015. Primary responsibilities: • Media monitoring for campaign 'Nederland helpt Nepal'; • Facilitating communication within the team about campaign coverage in the media; • Social Media/Webcare; • Assisting/Guiding Dutch Celebrities raising awareness for our campaign on social media; • Assisting the team of press officers.

Concerned with writing, interviewing, and brainstorming for stories. My articles were primarily published on the news website of EM (EM.Online), and occasionally also in the paper version of the magazine. I wrote mostly for the English-language 'International Pages'.

As a result of a previous assignment for DNV KEMA, I and my team members were offered an opportunity to do an internship that included a one-week trip to Beijing, China. For this internship, we did research at the China Wind Power 2012 conference on DNV KEMA's brand awareness.

My teammates and I researched the business culture and media landscape of the Chinese market. We've delivered a detailed consultancy report including challenges and opportunities, a communications strategy suited to the Chinese market and business culture, and an implementation plan. My team won the title of best project during a fierce competition among 4 teams on the final project symposium. Our project was praised for its thorough research and its accurate translation to tailored solutions.

Providing information about the reconstruction of the boulevard of Scheveningen to a variety of people having an interest in visiting our information centre. Located at the beautiful seaside of Scheveningen in The Hague Area. Occasionally providing touristic information and concerned with paperwork.

I worked in several industries during this period, e.g. in a restaurant, supermarkets. The positions were mostly retail and service-oriented.
