Worked on extracellular synthesis of gold nano-particles by tropical marine yeast Yarrowia lipolytica 3589 as a part of my bachelors thesis for 10 months. I also continued the project further voluntarily . Here in a tropical marine yeast Yarrowia lipolytica NCMI 3589 was used to synthesize extracellular gold nano-particles and the molecular basis for the synthesis of nano-particles was studied in the laboratory Dr. Smita Zinjarde.
