I am passionate about the world of data. I hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics, during which I focused on data science and machine learning, but these days I am really enjoying working as a data engineer. I appreciate understanding the entire data life cycle and building tools, pipelines and infrastructures tha support the work of my entire team.

I am working as a data engineer at Power Reply, the company of the Reply group focused on the energy and utility market. I manage the customers data using services such as Google BigQuery, Apache Airflow and PostgreSQL. I enjoy designing pipelines, ETL processes and storage solutions that meet our clients' needs. I am also a certified Google Cloud Associate Engineer.
I have been teaching assistant for several courses at the Department of Mathematics. My responsabilities included teaching, preparing lectures and marking the students' weekly problem sheets

During my PhD I have been particulalrly interested in applying machine learning methods to stochastic control problems. My final thesis, developed under the supervision of Prof Alex Cox, is titled: "Stochastic optimal control for problems arising in data science".

During my master I focused on machine learning and data science. My goal was to leverage my mathematical and statistical knowledge to explore exciting topics such as machine learning and deep learning. In my final thesis I designed an algorithm to optimally detect change point in time series model.
