Responsible for maintaining IT security profile for a law firm ranked 39th in the USA. Performed installation, maintenance, and operational control of firewalls, IDS, proxy, URL filtering, etc. Implemented security policy, worked with 3rd-party vendors, performed end user security education. (8 month overlap with current position)

LAN/WAN engineer responsible for installing and maintaining Cisco network infrastructure. Worked with WAN carriers on circuit procurement and support. Evaluated, purchased, and installed WAN accelerators. Implemented policy routing to better utilize dual WAN links to 18 branch offices.

LAN/WAN engineer responsible for the planning, building, and maintaining a global network of over 250 sites. Primary responsibility for firewall administration. Expertise in various WAN protocols, heavy reliance on site-to-site VPN (Cisco), and client-to-site VPN (also Cisco). Coordinated with network engineers in England and Japan to provide “follow the sun” support.

Provided network consulting services to clients. Performed consulting work with City of Minneapolis, CENEX, Case/New Holland (CNH), TMP Worldwide.

Responsible for a 600+ node network and a staff of 6. Expertise in networking, Windows clients, Cisco routing.
