Assignment as Line Manager leading the Civil & Geo Engineering team in a matrix organisation. Provided internal engineering services to diverse renewable energy projects both in the investment and operation phases. Concurrently, Project Manager for the exploration and drilling phases of two 4,000m deep geothermal wells.

Engineering & Project Manager for the development of two large hydropower projects (55 MW and 170 MW) from pre-feasibility stage to tender design and tender for construction. Contracted and coordinated layout studies, photogrammetric mapping, geotechnical investigations, feasibility and tender design. Engagement of local Turkish and international consultants and utilisation of internal engineering resources. Initiated tenders and negotiated the tunnel, civil construction, E&M, hydromechanical and ETL lots.

Technical consultancy and due diligence services for large hydropower projects for the associated company Borusan EnBW Enerji (Turkey).

Engaged in construction planning, scheduling, work preparation and cost estimating for large-scale tunnelling, metro and infrastructure tenders. Conducted performance analyses of executed TBM tunnelling projects, including advance rates, cutter wear and forensic damage and loss reports. Provided after-sales services and performance assessments for completed tunnel projects.

The construction of the 100 MW Glendoe Hydropower Project was based on a turnkey EPC type contract incl. TBM drive and E&M power generating equipment. Responsible for site selection, toposurvey, geotechnical investigations, design, construction, testing, commissioning, landscaping and handing over of 17 water intake structures. Coordination of linear construction activities along a sophisticated network of water conveyance pipelines from intakes to the reservoir.

Engaged in the Rogun Hydropower Project (3.600 MW, Feasibility Study, Tajikistan) and in the Merowe Dam Project (1.250 MW + 30 MW, Feasibility Study, Sudan). Prepared Feasibility Studies and carried out energy & sedimentation calculations, hydraulic engineering, design, construction planning and economic assessment of large scale hydropower projects. Coordinating project team members in a multi-office environment.

The Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP Phase 1B) is a large-scale water supply project located in the highlands of Lesotho. I was responsible for TBM tunnel grouting works, completion of surface civil works, installation and commissioning of E&M equipment and tunnel dewatering pump systems. Grouting claim management and successful negotiations. During the project closure phase I took the responsibility for rehabilitation, landscaping and handing over of the Mohale Tunnel Outlet site.
