Responsible for Fraunhofer ILT’s LMD technology strategy and operational execution in regard to the development of processes and applications, the transfer of developments to the industry and the consultation of industry. Responsibility of budget and personnel.

Responsible for shaping and fullfilling Group’s LMD Strategy and operational execution in regard to the development of coatings and functional layers, the transfer of developments to industry, the consultation of industry, commissioning of machines, construction of laboratories. Analysis, evaluation and optimization of production technologies and implementation of laser-based 3D Printing (LMD, DED, EHLA - extreme high-speed Laser Material Deposition, Laserauftragschweißen) in new or existing process chains.
