Lead the cross functional IT team responsible for Chargeback processing on ePayments. This portfolio of projects was also dependent on Vendors, who had to be managed to ensure that deliveries were produced in line with requirements regarding timelines, quality and functionality.

During this time I undertook a six months training course in metalwork, as this is an interest of mine. I also put considerable effort into setting up my own business, an endeavour which unfortunately proved not to be viable.

I was solely responsible for defining and developing the processes and policies required to reduce the risks to our business and customers caused by the disruption of any of the ITC Services. This was done in accordance with ISO 27031 best practices and guidelines.

o Responsible for the management and swift resolution of major incidents and problems affecting the banks ITC systems and infrastructure o Developed and documented the CBD Incident & Problem management processes to ITIL standards along with the associated ICS checkpoints o Lead and managed the CACEIS First Level Support team to ensure a constantly improving support service to all stakeholders o Supported and Deputised for the Provider Manager and Change Manager.

Working to deliver changes to core call centre applications within a tight time frame and assist with a pilot project for the provision of an online system to facilitate online loan applications. This was a short term project and input was mainly focused on assisting the program office with the high level planing of the pilot project.

For the last eight years of my career with RBS, I worked as an IT-Project manager, delivering development projects of varying sizes through the full project lifecycle to Prince2 standards. A critical part of the role was third-party management as a number of resources were provided by off-shore suppliers

Analysed payments system JCL and Cobol source code to identify and document critical interfaces of core Banking systems for the Euro conversion programme.

Provided second and third level support for customers using the mainframe offering of the middleware product, Orbix, of Iona Technologies.

Responsible for the CICS test suite of Objectstar, a Mainframe based development environment. I also provided on-site technical consultancy services to Amdahl customers.

Broadened my Project management competencies with Agile and Prince 2 certifications and refreshed & updated my knowledge of MS Project.
