Michael Schuehrer

Leading Mageba's business across Latin America with full responsibility for regional strategy, business development and operational performance. My role is to strengthen the company's long-term presence throughout the region by developing sustainable business opportunities, building high-performing multicultural teams and fostering trusted relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and public-sector stakeholders.

Joined DMT to establish and expand the company's business across Latin America, leading regional business development and market expansion initiatives. The role focused on identifying strategic growth opportunities, developing client relationships and strengthening the company's presence across the region while working closely with international and local stakeholders.

Joined ILF to establish and expand the company's transportation business across Latin America while strengthening its long-term regional presence. My responsibilities evolved from business development into executive leadership, including the management of several national organizations and regional transportation activities. Working closely with international clients, governments and multidisciplinary project teams, I contributed to the successful development and delivery of major transport programmes.

Starting as a Railway Specialist, I was later leading the integration of the acquired Spanish engineering company ETT Proyectos into the Pöyry Group. Later, I was appointed Director Infrastructure Peru, where I was responsible for developing the infrastructure business. During the final phase of my career at Pöyry, I was entrusted to coordinate the transition and orderly closure of the Infrastructure Business across Latin America (eight country offices with approximately 200 professionals)

I joined Deutsche Bahn with the ambition of building an international career in rail infrastructure. My initial role within the International Division provided valuable exposure to international projects and cross-border collaboration. Early on, however, I recognized that long-term success in international infrastructure required a stronger technical foundation. I therefore transferred to the domestic infrastructure organization, where I developing comprehensive technical expertise in railway engineering.
