Mickaël Maillé

I am responsible for the sales department of the French market. I attend our French hosts in oder to ensure top quality service for our users and best meet their demands and expectations. My task is to enhance our booking system and increase our acceptance rate to attract more investors. As the peer-to-peer rental business is seducing thousands more people every week in France we strive to adapt adequately to this fast growing and highly competitive market.

Multilingual attendance and assistance to trade visitors and exhibitors participating in ITB, the worldwide leading fair for tourism.

During my voluntary service I was offered to report cultural events and write articles for the internet youth portal of the city of Florence. In this respect, I was also given the possibility to edit videos about activities carried out by youth workers which we then posted on the city website. I also sought to develop new ways to communicate with youngsters and helped bolstering active citizenship among the youth community.

I was part of the client support team based in Berlin. My work consisted of helping customers who contacted the company for urgent assistance. I was responsible for English, French, German and Italian speaking clients. I received demands from customers contacting us from every continent, though mostly from the United States, Europe and the middle East. My work required to resolve issues on the spot related to reservations by contacting our partners over the world.

I have been working on a voluntary basis as a youth and camp leader as well as an Interpreter with the BILD/GÜZ non-profit organization ever since I completed the full training period in 2008. As an active member of the association I am helping organizing French and German binational encounters and carrying out activities with the youngsters. A part of our work also consists of searching new means to best achieve our goals.

During my studies I had the chance to work on the regularly basis at three of Paris following national monuments: The Towers of Notre-Dame, the Arc of Triumph and the Panthéon. My tasks were to welcome, lead and give assistance to the public. On the one hand, it gave me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge about Paris and France historical and architectural heritage. On the other, it allowed me very early to deal with international guests and visitors.

I handled applications for various exchange programs and mobility grants.
