Carried out wide-ranging responsibilities spanning management of projects,leading agile development teams,development of policies and establishing software architecture guidelines. • Performed business requirements analysis & defined project scopes & plans, time/cost/resource estimations in multi-million Euro projects. •Managed/Lead multiple projects across all the phases of project management. • Streamlined processes for services deployment, release updates & continuous integration of software modules.

Performed academic research focusing IT security & privacy within modern network & computing paradigms including virtualization, cloud computing, SOA and network coding. • Concentrated on the problem of modelling security constraints and contexts in virtualized infrastructures. • Established IT Security lab at the chair from the conception till the operation phase and designed the labs curriculum for undergraduate/graduate students. • Contributed to project proposals, research papers and publications.

Contributed to multiple EU funded & internal projects while working as a member of the IT Security and Privacy Team. • Wrote M.Sc. thesis in which the formalization of privacy obligations was investigated and an enforcement framework was designed. This work was conducted under EU FP7 Primelife project (link to thesis, published paper). • Designed and implemented numerous software components and prototypes for internal Microsoft TechFest.

Oversaw the operation of CTL acquirer authorization system while working at the IT department of the bank. • Design, development and commissioning of business processes to improve the service quality and efficiency. • Developed business cases and initiated/managed RFCs, RFPs and RFIs catering to the new business requirements. • Spearheaded UATs and managed/executed the Go-Live processes for the deployment of business-critical services on the production machines.

MNET was one of the two national financial transaction switches in Pakistan. Achievements: • Led the project to successfully integrate Euronet and ACI Base24 payment switch for eventual migration of services with zero downtime. • Designed and deployed mobile banking and funds transfer services on banks’ ATMs and POSs • Integrated front end authorization switch with the back end core banking system, call center and CRM systems along with the deployment of new business processes and staff training.

Key Achievements: • Team lead and developer in two full deployments of Siebel eBusiness CRM solution for US clients (one was Weber Grills). • Designed and implemented numerous software components in various projects including low level embedded programming on diverse micro-controller architectures. • Major projects were the development of commercial vehicle tracking system and smart electricity meter monitoring tool.
