Handling two-fold role focusing on Sales and Underwriting at same time for Sharjah Branch and responsible for Top Line and Bottom Line of the branch with attention on portfolio development and profitability of the branch. Independently carryout risk assessment, evaluation and documentation as well as conditions with respective underwriting authority given for various insurance products for commercial lines with actively participating in product and tariff design.

Assessment of risks for acceptance keeping in view company’s risk appetite and within company’s underwriting guidelines, Reviewing enquires from the distribution team, Weight loss exposures in terms of in-house risk inspection and determine underwriting alternatives, Discussing with Underwriting Manager and preparing quotations, Rope-in support by way of FAC placement or Co-insurance, Balance accumulation of risks in consultation with property casualty actuarial team.

Meeting and calling brokers on a weekly basis to discuss on various issues , Assisting head of technical in preparation of various reports such as renewal retention ratio, quotation conversion ratio etc, Discussing with head of technical and preparing quotations, Allocating and/or assigning of new policy documents, renewal documents and endorsements to operations team for issuance, Reviewing files for Sharia’h Compliance.

Providing quotations for new and renewal business based on company underwriting guidelines, Processing new policy documents, renewal documents and endorsements as per details provided by underwriting team, Preparing renewal notices for various clients, Processing facultative inwards and outwards requests, Placement of various risks with various other facultative reinsurers and processing the required documents and manually allocate distribution of treaty based on company treaty.

Responsible for long term strategic planning and generating investment income, Understanding client’s business and advising individual / corporate client’s on general insurance, Advising client’s on sound risk management practices and conducting policy audit for various clients to enhance and/or improve the coverage of their existing policies. Reviewing broking slips of general insurance, Negotiating terms, conditions with insurers / underwriters, Reviewing key client’s insurance portfolio.

Advising individual / corporate client’s on various general insurance requirements, Preparing broking slips for various classes of general insurance for different underwriters, Negotiating the coverage, terms and conditions with different underwriters, Facilitate in carrying out risk inspections for corporate clients, Visiting existing / new clients for renewal and new business, Reviewing new business development & existing business on monthly basis.
