Linux/UNIX System Administrator Building new OS (Linux RedHat Enterprise and Solaris) from scratch, changing existing ones according to business needs. Setting user and file permissions, changing, setting and tuning file systems. Installing, changing, configuring, scheduling and fine tuning EMC Networker backup system.

I have been working with Linux (RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu) and UNIX (Solaris and HPUX) systems and Provident Tertio. Also with Tibco adapters, Control-M Enterprise Manager and HDM (HP Historical Data Manager) Two weeks per month On Call rotation shifts. Other Technology used: Linux (RedHat, Debian, CentOS, Fedora), UNIX, Tibco, Tertio, HDM (HP Historical Data Manager), Nagios, Apache, Cacti, bash scripting, ksh scripting, Postfix, MySQL, Oracle, SMTP, POP3, IMAP.

The BO OSS Engineer is working with Front Office and Development Group for sustaining and delivery Operating System and Support Operations services for customer networks and services within several of the following service areas: Support OSS Platforms (HP Openview, Mesureware, Performance Manager, Nagios, Linux, UNIX, Windows) Operation, Maintenance and Deployment were the main activities for performance Improvement measurement.

Providing second level support using first level as hands and eyes (Banking security reasons) IT Consulting: Provides assistance level 2 (incident and identify the solution), remote, external customers in the banking sector. If necessary install and configure software or Web applications to help team (CSV sever, FTP, backup solutions, MTA – Mail Transfer Agents (Postfix, sendmail))

www.advalvas.be, www.zalana.be, http://p2b.advalvas.be – irc chat server with a web /Java interface. Consulting the proper groups for the new network architecture. Network design, configuring remotely 12 servers according with the development needs, and provide appropriate documentation. After implementation, for 6 mounts I provided support for all issues (nsf, apache/php, MySQL, iptables/NAT, IRCD, Postfix, spamassasin, dns/BIND, amavisd, crontab/backup scripts) (Oct. 2007 – Jun. 2008).

Administering Linux servers located in France (Completel) used by Musiwave to provide multimedia services to Vodafone France. There was an application for voice recognition implemented by Philips in connection with a MySQL server, an Apache server with tomcat and java in clustering.
