Managing the inbound and the outbound supply chain for smelter operations and bauxite/alumina refinery in Europe and Africa. Key deliverables: setup integrated supply chain for smelter in Cameroon, performance contract for road and rail transport in France and strategic cokes storage in Europe to guarantee supply for operations.

Responsible for building a CI organisation based on lean six sigma concept by training and developing a team of 5 black belts and 35 green belts. Managed the transition of Pechiney’s Progrès Continu into Alcan CI program. Managing Logistics team (internal transportation, harbour, casthouse scheduling and outbound transportation). Member of plant management team.

Responsible for setup CLC (26 fte) by integrating desk sales, back office Automotive, planning, outsourcing and transport. Implementing new ERP system for CLC, standardisation of working methods (ISO en QS), structural improvement of on time delivery towards customers (70% to 86%), margin of outsourcing improved by 16%. Transport consortium for 3 Dutch extrusion locations created to ensure an efficient lean organisation and maintain a high service level.

Responsible for implementation of Lean Six Sigma program for the location, APS training executed for middle management and operators. Process optimisation, lay-out changes for production lines and pull systems for automotive production lines implemented by using Kaizen principles. Pull links made between supplier, production and customer for raw materials, assemblies and orders with target to reduce work in process stock and eliminate out of stock situations.

Responsible for managing planning team (15 fte), make to order planning, supply chain with billet suppliers, physical distribution and logistics information systems. New logistic Just In Time paperless model designed and implemented for heat exchange profiles for automotive production line.
