Reporting directly to SVP (which reports to our Direct general) on a strategic and confidential initiative. Managing a group of approximately eight directors plus CIO to implement the first part of the strategic vision. Assignment to work directly with our CDO to shape the policy around generative AI and build a proof of concept on a selected LLM (Large Language Model) and a specific use case.

Leading a strategic initiative to propose future scenarios for the Airline Industry and potential strategic responses for IATA and the Airlines based on descriptive analytics and market research (Smart Services Program – SSP) and managing a group of twenty-five directors in the company. High-profile program that requires interaction with leadership team, C-suite, and Airline bodies and with a potential investment of USD >50m.

Managed the implementation of a new form of payment for the e-commerce platform of the Airlines based on open banking and request-to-pay specifications in coordination with Deutsche Bank, KPMG and using AWS infrastructure (IATA Pay). The form of payment addresses Airlines’ necessities related to cost efficiency (93% savings) and control of cash flow. During threeconsecutive years the objectives were exceeded in the delivery (ahead of time or more Als onboard).

Delivered a data analytics (descriptive analytics and unsupervised machine learning) project aimed at providing insights to Airlines about the form of payments used by Travel Agents for the sales done on behalf of Airlines (Transparency in Payments – TIP). This has resulted in more informed payment policies issued by Airlines bringing savings to the industry in the magnitude of USD 3B.

Managed the data stream of an industry-transformational program of $42m investment to ensure data quality of Travel Agents’ master data (60K records) through data management process and governance (NewGen ISS). This program objective was accomplished by bringing safer and more secure funds management for the Airlines.

Led database migration activities of Airline transactional-sales data to enable $20m sales revenue by ensuring timely data migration. Ensured the quality of the product worth $35m by establishing a data quality pre-assessment during the migration and as part of the day-to-day data capturing process.
