As Product Owner for the Cluster Stationary Infrastructure at DB Systel GmbH, I led the operations and transformation of mission-critical IT services and projects supporting Germany's railway infrastructure, including energy and stationary systems. In this role, I empower 75 cross-functional teams (750 employees) in IT operations, development, and consulting. Managing a €320 million annual budget, I optimized value streams to deliver measurable impact for customers, end-users, and the organization.

In my previous role, I had the privilege of serving as a servant leader, supporting over 40 self-organized teams in an organization that operates without traditional hierarchies or classic management structures. My primary focus was on empowering these teams to optimize value chains with efficiency, enthusiasm, and a shared commitment to delivering impactful outcomes. By fostering a culture where working with a smile is integral to success. Annual Budget Responsibility: ~€170 million.

As a servant leader, I led 10 teams in delivering mission-critical IT operations powered by global public cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. Yearly Budget: ~20 Mio. €

I led the organizational transformation of approximately 6,500 employees, transitioning from traditional hierarchies to over 700 self-organized 'two-pizza teams' and redefining the structure into supportive frameworks. This transformation resulted in a 50% increase in annual company revenue with nearly the same number of employees. Additionally, we achieved the highest employee satisfaction levels in our company's 50+ year history.

As an IT Architect, I designed an enterprise-ready public cloud setup capable of operating over 650 mission-critical applications. This setup was developed to meet the stringent requirements of German data privacy and security regulations. Additionally, I spearheaded the training of more than 2,000 IT developers and operators, enabling them to migrate and manage applications effectively on public cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
