Revan Rangotis

Senior research assistant investigating sensory perception and decision-making in humans and monkeys. Independently collected data from humans and monkeys, spearheaded testing and modelling, and oversaw the collation of this work into an upcoming publication. Assisted in brain surgeries, recorded from brains using state-of-the-art technology, and trained and supervised 3 junior colleagues in all these matters. I have professionally used Python, MATLAB, Bash, Git, GitHub, and Docker on a collaborative basis.

I worked as an independent freelance teacher on the mandatory, graded course of computational neuroscience taken by over 40 MSc students. I prepared lessons spanning linear algebra, neural networks, ML, optimisation, and PCA. I produced original test materials and graded students based on their written work and an oral component, evaluating their skills to both understand and present complex topics.
