Project Management of several large propulsion development projects, including OBD, EU7, Battery Management System (BMS). Working closely with PMO to track progress via PM Gate, identify risks (using JIRA) and defining risk mitigation measures. Cost forecasting and invoicing (SAP4H) are also part of the job.

Teamleader SCR in the Aftertreatment Diesel department. From 2021 onwards the team also included LNT technology. Together with my team we worked diesel applications from passenger car, Light-duty, medium-dusty as well as Heavy-duty and Non-road applications. Reducing tailpipe NOx to the lowest levels possible.

Responsible for the complete diesel after-treatment system calibration & validation for multiple engines and vehicle platforms on EU6D legislation for one specific OEM.

Diesel Engines development

I worked on a short term European project of KIC INNO energy, Flex Fuel, about a new class of low-sooting fuels called CyclOx that is in development by a spin-off company of the TU/e, Progression-Industry. My part of the project focuses on measuring and analyzing flame lift-off for these new fuels in relation to regular diesel and the corresponding decrease in engine out soot.

The research during my PhD. study focuses on a new combustion strategy called PCCI which is a combination of diesel and gasoline engines. This combustion strategy promises good fuel efficiency combined with very low soot and nitric oxide emissions. This research is conducted in close collaboration with DAF trucks, TNO automotive, Shell global solutions and Delhi Diesel systems.

The work contained modeling work of heat transfer from oxy fuel flames to glass and writing a proposal for further research on burner fouling with Philips Lighting
