Researcher and software developer in EU project NIFTi (Natural Human-Robot Cooperation in Dynamic Environments, www.nifti.eu). Research on autonomous navigation for Micro Aerial Vehicles, computational efficiency of algorithms, 3D Mapping/SLAM for dynamic environments with Depth, RGB, or RGB-D sensors. Contributed to developing a commercial mini-UAV for Urban Search And Rescue applications. Participated in a robots deployment mission in an earthquake-hit Emilia-Romagna region (Italy).

Developed a fully autonomous unmanned rotary micro-quadrotor capable of navigating in both GPS-denied and GPS-aided environments. The work covered such fields of robotics as Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM), teleoperation, embedded systems software development (C/C++) and hardware integration. Worked in a team on cooperation of ground and aerial robotic systems. Contributed in algorithms development (C++) for an aerial vehicle tracking with an omnidirectional camera.

Managed a team of mechatronics in company's subdivision. Responsible for the team's field-related education and training. Involved in start-up works of a line for thermo-chemical processing of metal surfaces. Examination of the line automation quality, PLC software developing/debugging (Simatic S7), HMI software development. Technical documentation, visualisation of technological processes, organisation of technical maintenance and maintenance schedules.

Setting up, adjusting and maintaining of complex and technically challenging automatic lines and machine units in all divisions of the company. Consulting on automation improvements for such lines. During time-critical process automation failures: error diagnostics and troubleshooting when local servicing personnel could not identify and solve the problems (independent of a prior knowledge of the plant and its equipment). Siemens Simatic S5/7 and Mitsubishi PLC programming and software debugging.
