Development of a project portfolio management system for monitoring IT projects

Developed a concept for a driverless transport system. The main objectives of the project were: 1) Integration of work centers with the Automated guided vehicle (AGV) system. 2) Optimization of the existing process.

The major role of my internship was to implement a Kanban System. Apart from the project, I actively participated in daily team meetings, worked on Excel sheets and developed userforms uning VBA programming.

As a part of 7 member interdisciplinary team,I worked on the project titled "Prototyping a seat cushion for a behavioral change in sitting in front of PCs".I was involved in the following taks: 1) Developed a seating cushion prototype and acquired in-depth knowledge in the fields of product development and process improvement. 2) Got a rich exposure on German work culture and business etiquette.

As a part of a three member team, my bachelor thesis was performed along with CRI Pumps India private limited. Following objectives were successfully accomplished: 1) Process improvement in shop floor (Using Toyota Production System) 2) Planning and implementation of workshops to reduce scrap (5S methodology) 3) Calculation of the optimal time to perform operations (MTM technique)

During a semester break, I had a short training program with TV Sundram Iyengar & Sons Limited. In their service station located in Coimbatore, I had a rich and diverse experience in the following tasks: 1) Assisted engineers in failure analysis. 2) Analyzed quality issues in automobile components. 3) Training in different functional areas (Paint shop, service station, purchasing division)
