Back to work in my previous position ... let's see how it will develop this time!

After having successfully put leadership skills to the test with child #1, it's now time to strengthen team-building skills with child #2 ... AKA on maternity leave :-)

Back to work in my previous position

Putting my leadership skills (such as patience, empathy, acceptance, adaptability and being a role model) to the test with the help of a new family member ... AKA on maternity leave :-)

I coached teams in Scrum, Kanban and Agile at RIAG Digital and supported the division's overall Agile transformation. To support learning and exchange of experience, I also organized regular public meetups on Agile and other topics.

Back to Vienna, I planned and managed software development and customizing projects for international customers. I also documented and helped define internal project management processes.

I managed my own travels through South America and thus took responsibility for international communications, transport, accommodation and sightseeing coordination, team member wellbeing and safety, good atmosphere as well as photographic evidence :-)

Major project: development of eBook readers for iOS, Android, OS X, Windows. I managed complex software development projects with global virtual teams while using Agile and Scrum practices to ensure greater project success. I also defined requirements and clarified them for the team members by writing and revising user stories. To make sure requirements were met, I performed acceptance testing and V&V of software builds.

I took care of all aspects of translation and localization projects for a key account and ensured their satisfaction by successfully managing several multi-language projects at the same time.

I managed translation and localization projects for a number of customers, including a key account, while assuming overall responsibility for the whole process from schedules, rates to QA and deliverables, ensuring customer satisfaction by paying attention to detail and customers’ wishes. Account management responsibilities and maintaining great customer and vendor relationships were also part of my work. I also trained and supervised junior team members and was in charge of company knowledge management.

Apart from my work and responsibilities at Austria Sprachendienst International I was active as an IT and technical translator for different companies (translating websites, online games, technical and other documentation), thus gaining a lot of experience in making very different customers happy. I delivered translation/localization work using SDL Trados Studio 2009. To expand my professional training, I attended the Localization Industry Standards Association’s Forum Europe 2010 (Budapest, Hungary).

I worked as a technical translator in Slovenia’s largest translation company while attending university, and continued to provide services after graduating (in total: about 13 months in 3.5 years). My projects mostly included software and hardware documentation (English and German to Slovenian). In my work, I gained considerable experience in working with many different CAT tools
