Master thesis is in the field of Fiber Bragg Grating sensors. Meanwhile I have worked with various FBG sensor-based devices and have done the data analysis of FBG spectrums using Octave and Matlab. Some of the performed tasks also include fusion splice of two optical fibers, configuration of Fanout device for multicore fiber. Recapitulating that, main task was to develop FBG based method for distributed fiber optic sensing.

Install and align an experimental setup consisting of optomechanical components. Data acquisition and evaluation. Characterization of MEMS-based micro-spectrometers, in particular module-to-module variation. Analysis of critical measurement parameters and conditions, e.g. dependency of angle, distance, temperature etc. Experimentally exploring use cases in the field of NIR spectroscopy, including multivariate analysis with existing software.
