Worldwide engineering support for all Pierburg Pump Technology GmbH products - Oil pumps (mechanical and electrical) , Water pumps (mechanical, switchable, variable and electrical), Vacuum pumps (mechanical and electric), Tandem and Hybrid pumps.

Within the 6 month program I prepared to move automatically assembled electric water pump from Germany to be manually assembled in Asia. Tasks included product design review, assebly line and tool design, assembly and product testing.

Responsibilities included component design, organisation and supervision of vehicle and component testing, release of technical drawings, communication with suppliers. Gained hands-on experience of internal combustion engine technology, injection moulding of plastics, technical drawing standards. Learned ProEngineer software, techniques of tolerance stack analysis. Increased self confidence, communication skills, teamwork skills and general engineering knowledge.
