Worked on a project related to accident detection and pavement quality prediction under the supervision of the IoT research director. Collected acceleration and GPS data from VAUD roads necessary to proceed with the project. Designed a classification model for accident detection and a deep learning regression model to estimate the asphalt quality Published a paper “Asphalt quality estimation based on autosense accelerometer and GPS”.

• Worked under the supervision of the maintenance manager to lead a project in factory equipment breakdown prediction. • Coordinated with different stakeholders to collect the data needed for breakdown predictions of selected equipment. • Proposed equipment upgrade by implementing new sensors and a server needed for the prevention of equipment failure. • Conducted a costs and time savings analysis to elaborate on the viability and the benefits of the proposed technical solution.
