Brought in to head up a complete purchasing organization for the company’s Asia Electronics Division (China, South Korea, India). Challenged to set and execute sourcing strategy for worldwide electronics commodities (Display, Lighting) and involved in new partnership, joint-venture negotiations. Organize professional teams and oversee the training, development and performance of 10 employees. Establish relationships with key suppliers and negotiate supply contracts aligned with operating strategy.

Brought in to head up a complete purchasing organization for the company’s China Division. Challenged to set and execute sourcing strategy for raw material procurement across 9 plants to support production of high quality finished automotive products (e.g. seats, doors, cockpits, mechanisms, exhausts) for major automaker customers. Organize professional teams and oversee the training, development and performance of 85 employees.

Planned and directed purchasing operations for the China Joint Venture that included capital expenditures of approximately €300 million. Established and implement department polices, strategies, and programs to meet operational purchasing needs and objectives. Mentored, trained, and supervised a team of 30 buyers. Directed sourcing strategy and development 30 new product designs and concepts.
