I had a specific schedule to follow there since I had to go to a different department almost every day. This was the familiarization with the Hotel Industry. I had to learn how they operate in each department. I spent most of the time in the customer service departments giving information to the clients, answering calls, giving locations and general information, helping the guest with any questions or doubts that they had. I basically had to work like any other employee of the company & learn the standards

I checked all the passengers information’s such as passport, visas, residence cards, credit cards and personal information for them to get on board, answered any questions they had about any particular event. Supervised all Check In Agents, Directional, Gangway Crew and Runners, I was in charged of the lunch and breaks of all the members that were on the check in and gang way area, organized all the passenger documents that the ship needed in order for them to check and file all the guest information.

I basically give customer service to a client that doesn’t speak Spanish or its very limited to communicate with his/her client (Customer) that doesn’t speak English and vice versa (3 way translation), I’m the one that Interpret (Translate) to both parties, been as accurate as possible and adjusting to every Client’s need, situation, problem and customer, pronunciation, word or sentence meaning. After a while a became a Mentor, teaching and helping new interpreters as soon as they became part of the company

I went to a new department every week to learn the different jobs they handle daily. I spend a month and a half in customer service, giving information about the airlines, flights, shops, restaurants, different offices or pending documentation, basically just helping people to know what they had to do in each case.
