Research on High Energy Physics (Chiral Gauge Field Theories) in collaboration with DESY IfH Zeuthen. Numerical simulations on lattices involving large supersparse matrices. Utilizing high performance MPP systems at the Konrad-Zuse-Zentrum für Informationstechnik in Berlin and the HLRZ in Jülich. Mentoring several undergraduates in Quantum Field Theory and Numerical Physics. Teaching several computer science courses, courses in classical mechanics, electrodynamics and quantum physics.

Managing a heterogeneous cluster of 700 nodes including Alpha AXP as servers and desktop stations, FreeBSD PCs, Windows PCs and emerging Linux PCs

Developing metrology, database and industrial controlling applications. Created a serial based proprietary network protocol for DOS based systems. This position was in a family owned company.
