In addition to managing operations, I’m planning and realizing all marketing and business activities. This involves being in continual contact with our worldwide partners, dealers and aviation authorities, including EASA. Results achieved: Developed and implemented new marketing strategy, amended business model, extended and reorganized our dealer network, signed several strategic partner agreements, created new website and new logo, developed new ad campaign.

Together with a small consulting team, I assist aviation organizations with implementing a management system and operations engineering. As managing consultant I also lead the sales activities and plan our projects. Since our core philosophy embraces transfer of knowledge and competency, I have furthermore conducted training and mentoring as part of our projects. I have moreover conducted separate training courses in integrated management systems.

Implemented a management system based on ISO 9001:2008. Integrated risk management with the management system based on EASA requirements and ISO 31000:2009. Focus was on lean production, effective processes and clear definitions of authority and accountability. Special challenges included management of change, with emphasis on retraining personnel that have worked in aviation for many years and believed firefighting was part of the trade. Developed processes for occurrence reporting and FDM.

Developed the business segment by targeting new markets and diversifying training course value propositions. Developed and implemented a new course in integrated management systems. Improved the business model for consulting by introducing consultant grades and changing the project planning processes. Together with Sales & Marketing, I also increased the flexibility in sales processes to better adapt to new opportunities. Thanks to this we subsequently won several RFQs. Managed 20+ aviation trainers.

Managed the application for the Air Operator Certificate (AOC), including production of the compliance list. Implemented a quality system according to ISO 9001:2008 and improved the quality assurance program by increasing the effectiveness of the audits. Conducted management system training of all managers and office staff. In addition to managing three part-time auditors, I also conducted internal and external audits myself.

Created and documented processes for the Flight Operations department. The flight operations manual (OM-A) was rewritten to increase usability and to better reflect the actual organization. In 2008 I led a project for implementing EU-OPS (European aviation regulations).

Developed and implemented a new Security Program as well as conducted security training of flight and cabin crew members.

Marketed, organized and held area navigation courses to pilots in Sweden. The course was developed internally and approved by the Swedish Civil Aviation Authority. Our two initial competitors were quickly outperformed thanks to our active marketing as well as extensive word-of-mouth marketing.

Led a complex project with the goal of finding the reason for the extensive number of software bugs in released software. We analyzed the software quality assurance processes and categorized all reported bugs according to a new system that I developed. Theses from different departments were taken into account when developing the new categorization.
