Bringing my extensive experience in the language profession to Avaloq's small Language Services team. Translations, language reviews (including closed caption reviews), proof-reading, and terminology work; contributor to the department's quarterly newsletter and the organisation's English Style Guide; testing, roll-out and admin of Acrolinx content governance platform; implementation of machine translation; other projects in the pipeline.

Shipwrite reflects my two professional passions: languages as Shipwrite & (seasonally) sailing holidays and instruction as Cloud Nine Sailing. Translation German, Dutch & French to English with a particular flair for marketing. Versatile & highly experienced in tech & business fields & the leisure industry. Ad hoc consecutive interpreting, particular focus on help for meetings at the Swiss authorities and the RAV. Assessment of new translators -> now a Chartered Institute of Linguists' mentor from 2019.

Cloud Nine was the name of our 45-foot yacht, hence Cloud Nine Sailing. We offered bareboat and skippered charters in the Ionian Islands of Greece, as well as sail training, once described as "the best management training of my life".
