Shipwrite reflects my two professional passions: languages as Shipwrite & (seasonally) sailing holidays and instruction as Cloud Nine Sailing. Translation German, Dutch & French to English with a particular flair for marketing. Versatile & highly experienced in tech & business fields & the leisure industry. Ad hoc consecutive interpreting, particular focus on help for meetings at the Swiss authorities and the RAV. Assessment of new translators -> now a Chartered Institute of Linguists' mentor from 2019.

Providing (continuous) localization project management and strategy; translations, reviews and broader language consulting; terminology management; evaluation and implementation of language technology (including machine translation and generative AI tools) to the entire organization of over 2500 employees in an agile fintech company offering on-prem and SaaS banking and wealth management software and services.

Cloud Nine was the name of our 45-foot yacht, hence Cloud Nine Sailing. We offered bareboat and skippered charters in the Ionian Islands of Greece, as well as sail training, once described as "the best management training of my life".
