Translations, language reviews (including closed caption reviews), proof-reading, and terminology work; contributor to the department's quarterly newsletter and the organisation's English Style Guide; testing, roll-out and admin of Acrolinx content governance platform; implementation of machine translation; other projects in the pipeline.

Cloud Nine is the name of our yacht, hence Cloud Nine Sailing. Sailing is the perfect counterpoint to the distractions and stresses of modern, "always on" life, a way to slow down, whilst also offering what has been described as "the best management training of my life". - bespoke sailing holidays in Greece - RYA Centre for theory courses (up to Yachtmaster level) in Switzerland - delivery of RYA practical courses in Greece & Gibraltar (both dinghies and yachts)

Shipwrite reflects my two professional passions: languages as Shipwrite & (seasonally) sailing holidays and instruction as Cloud Nine Sailing. Translation German, Dutch & French to English with a particular flair for marketing. Versatile & highly experienced in tech & business fields & the leisure industry. Ad hoc consecutive interpreting, particular focus on help for meetings at the Swiss authorities and the RAV. Assessment of new translators -> now a Chartered Institute of Linguists' mentor from 2019.
