Senior Project Manager
Advanced Bionics
I am successfully directing teams for special Sustaining Engineering Projects for cost savings, process improvements, alternate component sourcing & business risk mitigations, as well as special Regulatory Affairs Projects for Cochlear Implants. In depth knowledge of all in-house business processes, disciplines and also legacy products are the key factors for successfully completing the projects on time & budget, besides detailed tracking & reporting of complex tasks and risk mitigations.

Director New Product Introduction
Advanced Bionics
I was responsible for leading a group of 6 engineers to transfer newly developed Cochlear Implants and its Sound Processors & Accessories from Product Development into Production, by making sure that the production of new products was setup to meet the manufacturing cost & yield targets as well as the launch dates and required production ramp up quantities.
I was leading product development projects for new Hearing Instrument product families, making sure that the new Hearing Instruments meat the marketing requirements, manufacturing cost & yield targets as well as the launch dates and required production ramps (including coordinating the production ramp-up in the manufacturing facility in China).
I was leading 5 engineers and was responsible for the Global Project Management Process (business processes mapping, reporting, controlling, resource allocation and prioritization) across three development locations (Germany, USA, Singapore), the global Engineering Change Management, as well as the Requirement Engineering for new products.
I was leading product development projects for new Hearing Instrument product families, making sure that the new Hearing Instruments meat the marketing requirements, manufacturing cost & yield targets as well as the launch dates and required production ramps (including coordinating the production ramp-up in the manufacturing facility in Singapore).
I was responsible to expand the R&D department from 5 to 20 engineers and implemented a structured Product Engineering & Development Process. I lead the design engineers (mechanical design, electro-acoustical development and fitting software) and was responsible for the project management of all local product development projects.
I implemented a new Chip-On-Board Process (COB) and integrated a UV Laser System for printing on plastic housing components. I also was responsible, that the layout of the new 6.500 sqm factory building suited the internal manufacturing & logistics processes.
I supervised around the clock endurance tests for automatic car transmissions at Peugeot’s test track in France and coordinated the data analysis between the development engineers at ZF and Peugeot.
I road tested automatic car transmissions in various test cars on public roads, including performing data analysis for the technical documentation.
