I am a Core Design and Engineering Transport Specialist at Vodafone Group. My duties include: * Managing RFx documentation, setting the technical requirements. * Documenting best practices accross the engineering teams in the company. * Vendor management for Transport solutions within the scope of the Core, Backhaul and International networks.

Amongst other functions: • Guidance of L1 guys when some HW-swap activity required. • Troubleshooting of DWDM, SDH and Symmetricom SSU2000 devices. • Diagnosis & Identification of network problems following them until its resolution triggering FLM when field maintenance needed and escalated to L3

> Understand the customer requirements and assist building an offer, suggesting changes (ip config, move add change requests new pricing) > Assist regional Solution Architects in building complex proposals (Pre-Qualification, Repetitive bespokes, Technical input for orders, Order Validation, Creating Diagrams (ppt, visio) > Act as Interface and negotiate with customer with regard to estimates, schedules and deliverables including managing requirements, reviews, obtaining acceptance and feedbacks.

Responsible for the analysis, diagnosis and resolution of network incidents,reported by customers or detected proactively. Coordination of customer relationships, equipment suppliers and other departments within the company. In charge of a team of Technical Analyst, managing their technical performance and their development in terms of technical skills for the different technologies they deal with. Amongst the different Transport Technologies we manage: SDH, PDH, EoMSP,Carrier Ethernet, WDM, TDM and DSL.
