Gillian Moore

Executive academic leader who has strong background in successful strategic planning, program development and management across international education initiatives and constituencies. Plays an integral role within an organization by providing collaboration,motivation, and direction across teams in diverse and rapidly growing environments. Experience spans higher education, arts management, tourism planning, marketing, public relations and events organization.

Acted as liaison between the (new) President, Board Chairman, and Board of Trustees, and liaison between the Presidentand the Board with all college constituencies, both internal and external. Hired new staff and developed board focus, best practices and institutional integration.

Responsible for planning, marketing and executing all major fundraising and cultivation events for the College. Event Planning: Worked with the Vice President for Institutional Advancement and the College Development Team, annual events included the Trustees’ Benefit Gala; all awards events, national and local; and all special recognition and celebrity events and movie premieres, as well as overseeing departmental events.

Majored in tourism planning and development -- special interest: events-led tourism -- thesis written on Tourism in Ireland: The Cross-Border Dimension.

Majored in 20th Century European Drama: thesis written on Laughter in the Theatre of the Absurd.
